In the equatorial forest, you move from the canopy to the creek and the river, discovering a wide variety of animal species: tapirs (Tapirus terrestris), jaguars (Panthera onca) and bush dogs (Speothos venaticus) all live in this tropical environment.
Tropical forest in the large greenhouse
A monumental greenhouse immerses you in the tropical rainforest. Next to a waterfall, tall ficus trees grow on which vines and tropical plants cling. Small primates, white-faced sakis (Pithecia pithecia) and tamarins frolic in the branches.
Along the way, sloths (Choloepus didactylus) and anteaters (Myrmecophaga tridactyla) come into view, while many birds fly freely in this lush setting. At the foot of the waterfall swim manatees (Trichetus manatus), an emblematic species of French Guiana that is unfortunately threatened, and giant bony fish such as arapaïmas.
