The routes

Your first visit

To get your visit off to a good start, we recommend that you take a look at our daily schedule of events, so that you don't miss these key moments in the animals' day. In the middle of the visit, don't hesitate to stop off at one of the 5 educational kiosks, where you can learn more about species conservation issues. Throughout the summer, take advantage of the barefoot trail for a unique sensory adventure.

We also recommend that you don't leave without seeing:

  • the Patagonia Biozone and its guanacos, sea lions, penguins and pumas ;
  • the Africa Biozone, with its zebras, rhinos, lions and giraffes;
  • the Great African Aviary and its group of pink flamingos;
  • the Europe Biozone, where you can observe otters, vultures and wolves;
  • the Amazon Biozone with its pair of jaguars and tapirs;
  • the Great Greenhouse, home to manatees, iguanas and piranhas, as well as lemurs and chameleons in a tropical forest atmosphere;
  • the Madagascar Biozone, where you can see other lemurs and fossas.

Barefoot trail (currently closed for maintenance)

A barefoot trail has been set up in the Grande Clairière to give you a physical feel for the texture of the ground on which the animals of the Parc Zoologique de Paris walk in the different ecosystems... nature is not always kind to the soles of your feet. Forget your shoes and socks and set off on a series of ‘material squares’ that follow each other in a loop. The path is discontinuous, with breaks. As well as the experience of direct contact, the trail encourages you to take a closer look at the substrates on which the animals live, to see the variety within the same biozone, to make the link between the animals' modes of locomotion and the nature of the soil, and to understand how they adapt to their environment.

Fun trail

The zoo will also be offering a play area for younger visitors: play modules installed in the clearings will enable children aged 4 and over to learn more about animal locomotion while having fun!

Animals visible in winter

In winter, when temperatures drop below 5°C, some of our animals - particularly those in the Africa, Amazonia-Guyana and Madagascar biozones - have to stay indoors because they can't stand the cold. Some remain visible in their houses.
On certain mornings, due to the climatic conditions, some vision bays may fog up. This usually dissipates by late morning or early afternoon at the latest, so please come back later if you encounter this phenomenon. To help you find your way around the park, a map shows the animals that can be seen in winter.
Other animals such as sea lions, lions and wolves can still be seen in all temperatures.
