The Gudgeon, Gobio gobio, is a species of small bony fish which lives in the freshwaters of Europe.

The gudgeon’s status in terms of population is unclear. There is not enough information about this taxon to work out its population status. Its presence serves as a bio-indicator for healthy water as it is sensitive to pollution.
